Unfortunately, the substantial rise in costs of computer hardware has forced AbelPC to suspend all computer builds. The prices of computer hardware, hard drives in particular, have escalated 200% since November 2011. Weather related tragedies in eastern countries where hard drives are manufactured have caused a massive supply shortage. Huge companies such as EMachines, Dell etc have been able to weather the storm by purchasing as much as they could get their hands-on. This further lowered the world’s supply and raised prices to extremes. Smaller boutique companies such as AbelPC struggle to turn a profit without substantially raising prices. We at AbelPC would hate to see our customers overpay and have elected to cease all computer builds for the time being. Repairs and upgrades will still be performed, during limited hours, for our current loyal customer base only. No new customers are being accepted at this time. All warranties will continue to be honored.
